Job Description

RJE Oceanbotics is seeking a motivated Test Engineer to join our team. The successful applicant will be involved in all areas where his/her expertise is required including manufacturing, design and quality control. The applicant will directly interact with technical, manufacturing and quality personnel as well as other team members and customers to develop appropriate test procedures, hardware and software.  This position will also require reviewing and analyzing specifications as well as preparing technical documentation and drawings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering team to create and define product specifications, test plans and procedures
  • Develop test fixtures, test scripts, etc., in support of test plans and procedures
  • Collect and maintain test results
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine production procedures
  • Develop, maintain and conduct internal testing procedures and reports
  • Maintain all documentation related to products including test procedures and results
  • Participate in brainstorming, design reviews, code reviews and continuous improvement processes
  • Identify and troubleshoot non-conformances with testing results/procedures
  • Visit vendors to validate test procedures and results

Requirements

  • BSEE or BS in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position (working with PCBA’s, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation)
  • Quick Learner
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Good communication skills (oral/written)
  • Strong analytical/problem solving/organizational skills
  • Experience with through hole and SMT rework using direct and hotair
  • Knows how to solder, IPC-J-STD-001 certification preferred
  • Wants to grow and learn
  • Needs minimal supervision

Job Description

RJE Oceanbotics is seeking a motivated engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for project management/execution and design implementation. You will directly interact with customers, internal technical personnel and other team members to develop projects out of the preliminary design phase into complete, operational systems. This will require reviewing and analyzing requirements, developing product specifications, developing and tracking project plans, evaluating design trade-offs, preparing technical documentation and drawings, and maintaining project organization. This is a fast-paced position where you will be handling multiple projects, most of which last less than one-year.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day project operations to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget
  • Facilitating communication between internal staff, suppliers, and customers
  • Interacting with our project development team to identify project scope and requirements
  • Performing design calculations and making decisions based on engineering principles
  • Working with internal managers to schedule design and fabrication activities
  • Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on technical and commercial merit
  • Determining and monitoring budget
  • Supporting our team with project design reviews
  • Preparing technical documentation and drawings for vendors
  • Reports project status and progress to corporate management

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience
  • Ability to independently establish goals and schedules
  • Fluent in MS Office, experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others both inside and outside the organization
  • Programming experience helpful (Python, Java, etc.)
  • Occasional travel

Electronic Design Engineer

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position and be a hands-on, creative, innovative and resourceful person.  Must be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced, creative and flexible environment.

  • You will have to be able to work independently or in small teams to develop new electrical/electronic designs or make design changes to existing products.
  • You will have to create and understand schematics and layout. Experience with Altium design tools is a plus.
  • You’ll be building prototypes and/or perform internal engineering tests to validate hardware designs as well as doing or assisting with troubleshooting of existing equipment and designs.
  • Experience programing microcontrollers in C a plus.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position.

Software Application Developer with 5+ years of hands on experience.

Responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, maintaining, testing, and debugging C/C++ Linux applications
  • Creation of flowcharts, specifications and documentation for new and existing software

Required:

  • Proficiency in C/C++
  • Software version control with Git
  • Experience developing applications on Debian Linux

Preferred:

  • Familiar with Mosquitto (MQTT)
  • Experience implementing control systems

Minimum Education

Sales Person/Product Apostle

Our subsidiary RJE Oceanbotics LLC is looking for a motivated and capable individual to take our new game changing underwater Robotic Vehicle (ROV) to market. We need you to have 3 to 5 years of experience in selling technical products, ideally in an underwater related industry. Experience in managing and selecting regional reps and distributor is a plus.

You must be a self-starter and networker, have great communication skills and be able to think on your feet. You also must be tech savvy and will have to use Salesforce to plan and track all sales related activities and opportunities.

This position will involve both national and international travel.
